Germany's largest spring is located in the little place "Aach im Hegau". The water comes mainly from the Danube witch drains away in Immendingen. The Aach flows after 14 km into the Lake Constance and therefore into the Rhine.
The historical steamboat “Hohentwiel” is suffused with a special atmosphere. Enjoy a tour on Lake Constance and let it take you to the 1920s.
Island of Mainau
Discover the well-known island of Mainau with its beautiful tulips in springtime, the rose garden in summer or the sea of blossoms of the dahlias in autumn. The big playground of the island is an absolute highlight for children.
In Europe there is no bigger waterfall than the Rhine Falls. The average amount of 372 cubic metres of water per second fall over the 23 metre high rocks. An impressive natural spectacle – especially in times of high water.
The Napoleon Tower Hohenrain
The newly constructed viewing platform offers a unique panoramic sight over the western lake of Constance. You also learn something about the old tower built in 1829 - according to historical tradition on behalf of Louis Napoleon.
With the mountain railway it goes up to 2.502 metres above sea-level. The top of the Säntis offers a breathtaking view over the Alps in the south and Lake Constance in the north. The Säntis is a highlight in the region of Lake Constance which you should not miss.
